  • Clarification of common co-occurring conditions with ADHD like anxiety, depression, learning disorders, sleep challenges, sensory integration disorder and substance abuse

What Our Students Have to Say

  • Erica BruCe Erica BruCe Spring 2018 Student
In the Foundation Module, I learned a ton. I challenged myself and I got back much of the enthusiasm that I had lost in the last few years. The friendly, open-minded and welcoming environment also let me curb my perfectionism and have fun during our weekly calls. The classes were perfectly structured and well balanced, providing all the needed information while staying concise enough not to cause overload. Each topic is clearly explained and the live calls are a time of refreshing, insightful sharing. I would recommend this course not only to aspiring coaches but to anyone who would like to get a clearer perspective on ADHD.
  • Heidi Sampson Heidi Sampson Spring 2018 Student
I’d like to begin by saying a big thank you to you for teaching this class, and teaching it with such passion. I have learned so much from this course that I didn’t even realize I didn’t know or understand. I not only understand myself better but my children and everyone out there with ADHD. I find myself consistently being more patient and understanding! One of the biggest things I will take away from this course is that we all are unique, our ADHD shows up different in all of us. On top of that learning about comorbidity helped open my eyes a lot too! I think learning about the positive sides of ADHD was my favourite part because I am such a positive person naturally. It’s so important to always see the positive side of everything. My older son actually shared with me how he was so excited because he used his super power in science class and got a lot of work done, hyper focus!!!!!! It was nice to see he is picking up on the little seeds I am planting about the positive sides.
  • Cory Henderson Cory Henderson Fall 2018 Student
Learning more about ADHD has been so exciting and makes so much sense. The #1—Aha for me is understanding all of the Co-existing conditions and Emotions that tie to ADHD.  Being able to read and hear you teach us about these things has benefited me a lot.  The other one that stands out to me is the poor child who is being told to sit down and his body is saying...I’m trying, just needing to drop some dopamine into my brain.  That has brought so many tender feelings for that poor little child. You are an amazing individual who has done and continues to do much for the ADHD community.  I thank you for what you and your other colleagues are doing to make ADHD not such a “Shame Based” disorder.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
  • Adriana Casso Adriana Casso Fall 2018 Student
Something important I have learned about ADHD that I didn’t already know is that the medically correct umbrella term for ADHD is ADHD. I did not know that whether someone presents inattentiveness or hyperactivity, the correct term is ADHD. I also did not know that there are few people with ADHD who will not respond well to any medications. I never thought that would be an option to think about. (AHA) The number one thing I will take away from this course is that the area of ADHD is broad and ADHD coaching is a huge responsibility. This course has provided me with very specific and organized knowledge about ADHD, as well as some understanding about how this information will be used to implement a structured plan to meet the needs and goals of ADHD clients. This course is too good to be true. I am overwhelmed about all there is to learn, but I know it is a process. The medical management is a tough area. I want to learn all that I can. My goal is to have the confidence to continue to advocate for others living with ADHD, to help families cope and understand ADHD and to help clients design choices and plans they can follow through with. (I want to know what I am talking about.) This class is a miracle in my life. You are helping me organize my knowledge, add all this incredible and new information in such an organized way, and motivating me to keep going because we are needed out there. Thank you for being the gifted teacher that you are.

Our next Foundations of ADHD courses starts January 6, 2020 and will run Mondays and Wednesdays at 12pm Pacific / 3pm Eastern until February 19, 2020.
